Kyros Christian: exposing the Candy Spookie

If you thought twinks were all the same then you haven't met Kyros Christian. With that mop of dark hair covering his eyes, pouting lips, and smooth hairless skin, the self described "SuperTwink" has introduced the porn world to the subculture, making soft goth hardcore in an XXX kinda way.

Don't go underestimating this young man. More than a pretty face, he plans to become a major player in the industry through his own production company Candy Spookie Studios.

We were able to catch up with this up-and-cummer for an amazingly candid interview. Check out Part 1 of our chat after the jump...

Why porn?

It just sort of developed that way as the years went on. I was always a fan of porn, and always loved watching it. But, Bryan Kocis initially introduced me to the idea, and gradually it grew on me. When I finally took up an offer, it wasn't really what I expected. But I knew I could find a way to monopolize off a newly introduced industry, and thus I knew where to investigate to research more in depth what it means to launch a production company.

Your first time on set... what was going through your head?

The first shoot I ever went on was in San Diego, and it was pretty wild. I walked in and came out with an incredible insight into the heart of this industry and I was taught many, many things in the process, and even more things at that surprised me.

But I was an infant as you could say in this business, and did not understand things as I do today. I had the "new model" syndrome. I was from a small town, traveled all across the country by myself to do this thing I have always heard of was connected to evil deeds, when I get there I'm dined with expensive dinners, treated to the best LA bud, shown wonderful things, treated with respect, and even met a twink and had a few weeks to enjoy with him.

I knew it was a very awkward way of life, but the awkward has always fancied me. And it reinforced my want to succeed in an industry so ripe with hard left turns. It's a challenge; a bit of a game - if you're real with things, if you can grow and learn, and if you are shown the right way in this industry, there can be happiness in your life. It doesn't have to be all bad as most people see it.

What's the best part of your job?

The royalties of course. I have always loved the smell of money, and have always loved even more making it. I make great money for very little work, and I do it taking almost no risks. I have made a career for myself and have established myself as a huge symbol in the gay twink market.

And then I have gone even further in that I fell in love with somebody I met in this industry; a person pure and wonderful at heart, who understands me in my entirety, and has come to accept me and my ways. A person who has always been there for me, who I never have to worry about whether or not hes lying to me, the man of my dreams, and the man ill marry. I met Dillon - and that is the best part of my job. I share this with him, and we share it only with each other.

And the worst?

Of course this industry comes with its degenerates, and often times you can't filter them all out with a fine tooth comb over the Internet. I have met a lot of assholes in this business. People that just think irrationally, and many that think with a very predatory attitude. There are genuine villains in this business, men that do things to these naive kids that are barely even legal. They're in it for the wrong reasons...

But I am very grateful for having met such good people in it as well. Close friends that have taught me many things about how things are and how they work. Friends that have always looked out for me, and have never done me wrong.

Are you "out" as an porn star? Do family and friends know?

I wouldn't say it's something I exactly announce with pride; if somebody asks me what I do, I tell them I'm in marketing. But I live in a very liberal city, populated with a large number of gay men, and I am always getting noticed here. Wherever it is that I go - from the grocery store, to the gas station, just anywhere you can think of.

I rarely even leave my house. My family and friends have all come to figure it out, and I come from a very very close and large Italian family. They despise what I do, but they won't banish me for it at the same time. They hate it, they don't want to know about it, but they still love me, and they're still my family. Nothing could ever tear my family apart.

My parents have come to love Dillon (my fiance) like one of his own. My sisters adore him, and everybody functions without the thought about the porn. It isn't our life, you know? Its a very small part of what we do in our day to day lives.

You're working on your own website, KyrosChristian.com. When do you hope to have it up and running? What will the site offer fans?

is a part of the network we plan to launch under Candy Spookie Studios. The company will be launching in a few months, as we are still in the process of filming enough content to launch comfortably with. We are introducing the genuine emo twink niche into the market. We have A LOT of hot little twinks lining up to get done dirty! You'll have the privilege of viewing this new breed of twink without a question as to the authenticity of these boys image. We don't dress them up, we don't go to Hot Topic and buy them clothes to wear. This is a genuine physical portrayal of their personalities.
