You took some time away from the industry, but came back in 2020 in top form. What was it that brought you back, and did you have any reservations or concerns?

Yes, I took some time off, when everything started to go into live camming back in 2011. It just didn’t vibe with me so well. And I went fully into a cupcake and coffee shop with the family. That was really only way to make money so I could afford to film legitimate movies. We had a fun time at Twinsies cupcakes and coffee.

Ultimately it was taking up too much time and not making enough to fund films. So I shut that down and went straight into legitimate acting. Getting an agent and going on multiple auditions per week. But I think I didn’t get cast much because of my porn background. In 2017 I met Bryan Hawn at IHOP. We started doing some naked music videos together. He got me on OnlyFans, [and] I was initially only showing ass. But I started getting a lot of requests from my old fans for more and more. So I was like "what the heck"; it’s really the only thing I know how to do well, so I drove straight back into porn. And I’ve actually had a very warm welcome. And I’m super thankful for the community accepting me back.

As a long-time porn model, you’ve seen the industry changing over the years. What do you think has been the most positive change in the biz?

I feel the most positive change has been with the availability for models to film themselves, edit themselves, and publish their content all on their own. It really gives the performer the power. Because ownership is what makes you wealthy. If you never own anything you have no chance at residuals in the future. Another very positive thing is now Descovy Prep anti-AIDS medication is readily available.

And the worst change?

As far as worst changes go, the studios are not paying nearly as much as they did 15 years ago. It’s also sad to not have a physical magazine to be proud of. Everything is online and its only worth something the day it’s posted. No more nostalgic papers to flip through. I was in the last issue of Playgirl magazine and Men magazine. And boy am I so thankful to have had a chance to be on those covers. It’s a different time now. I can’t imagine somebody who never had a dirty magazine to look at when they were younger. I remember humping Playboy magazines in the bushes at the complex we lived in.

Who was your favorite scene partner, and what makes them stand out?

Xander Scott was always a joy to work with. He was so much fun and so nice on set. Another true icon was Chip Tanner… Chip was a blast we had so much fun making YouTube videos and goofing off on set. Rest in peace to both Xander Scott and Chip Tanner.

How do you balance your life as a straight married man with being a tremendously popular gay porn star? And how does your partner deal with it all?

Well, it works out better than you can imagine. Or most people can’t even imagine. Becky helps me pack my clothes before I go on porn shoots. She helps me schedule and set up my own production. Even helps me choose the guys I’m going to film with. But I do have to do all my own legwork for the straight stuff. I understand though.

What would most surprise your fans about you?

If I’m not working, I’m pretty much a recluse at home. I spend most of my days daydreaming about being a legitimate actor, or a musical artist. I work on writing films with my friend. We try and raise money to film these movies. It is just a really hard business to be in. And a business you can’t do on your own. I just don’t want to give up my dream. I have been trying to break into the acting for 12+ years now. With teachers, coaches, agents, Casting Directors. But what happens often is I’m just led on and used. It makes me sad, so sad.

What can your fans look forward to in the coming year, and is there anything you’d like to say to them?
